Monthly Matinee
American Bandstand
May 19, 2011 |
| |
|
This month our “Monthly Matinee” takes us to a performance that is sure to have you out of your seat. We will also make some additional stops en route, to enjoy some of the beautiful spring scenery! More information will be posted closer to the date of the trip.
Before MTV, there was American Bandstand! America's teens tuned in not only for the new songs, but the new styles and the |
new dances. Spanning four decades, American Bandstand presented the Top 40 hits of the day and became "the Gateway to pop culture." The impact of American Bandstand made history and comes to life on the Wohlfahrt Haus stage after all ... "It's got a good beat and you can dance to it." |

New Orleans
June 15-20, 2011
|
| |
|
 |
The time has come for us to venture even further south, to the charming city of New Orleans! This is a tour filled with history and adventure. We’ll even visit one of the only remaining preserved wetlands in Louisiana for some exciting and breathtaking views of alligators, owls, snakes, turtles, bald eagles, and swamp land that is unbelievably beautiful. |
Let me assure you that this is one tour that you don’t want to miss. From the plantation tours that take you back over 200 years ago, to the carriage tour of famous streets like Bourbon and Toulouse, there is something here for everyone.
Have you ever tried a Po-boy? This is your chance. They are delicious, and one of Louisiana’s more popular dishes, along with gumbo and other Creole dishes. We will most definitely stop off at Café Du monde for some fresh Beingets and coffee, and will be something you are sure to love.
Folks go ahead and get signed up for this trip. It’s full of surprises, and memories to last you a lifetime. This trip includes…5 nights lodging, 3 dinners, 4 breakfasts, and 3 tours.
Signup Deadline is May 15 but since we've already had some takers, you may want to get your name on the list early! Payment installments are available for this trip with the balance due no later than May 15.

Play description
It’s 1970 and Elvis Presley is missing. His manager, Colonel Tom Parker, needs his star for an extremely important live performance. (You see, he owes a certain mobster a bit of money). Oh, and the show is in 24 hours. When the search for the real Elvis proves fruitless, he looks for the next best thing – an Elvis impersonator. But where can he find one that he can pass off as the real Elvis? And what has the real Elvis been up to anyway?
